First up- the Salomon Start:
Next up- the Salomon Twinskin.
overshort, with a single layer innner thigh area that eliminates chafing. Sports performance and subdued style." These are weird- the front and sides are like regular shorts, but the back and inner thighs are like compression shorts. When I first put them on, I wasn't sure that I would like them, but after wearing them for a few runs, I'm starting to come around. They are a bit longer than the Start (8" inseam), and they have a zipped pocket on the back.
I haven't had a chance to wear these in really warm weather yet, and I'm wondering how I'll like them in the heat. Maybe the tight liner will be great for preventing chafing, but you definitely won't get the airyness that you do with the Start. A follow up review may be needed after I've been able to wear these in some serious heat.
As usual with Salomon products, the construction on both of these is great. The folks over at Salomon know how to make quality product, and I'm sure that both of these will stand up well to lots of miles of running.
